Fresh install of Snow Leopard/Logic 8 with no major headaches other than three Stillwell plugs will not validate and end up in the ‘incompatible audio units folder’ but still work ‘fine’.
To me this isn’t ‘find’ because every time I launch Logic it notifies me that there are incompatible audio units, I click proceed and carry on.
I’m running the latest betas found on the website.
Bad Bus, Rokit, and transient designer do not validate.
Logic EIGHT, not nine? I don’t have that combination to test with. Logic 8 on 10.4, Logic 9 on 10.6, but not the other way 'round.
Send me a copy of the AU validation log, if you would. They validate just fine in Snow Leopard here (and the OS is the one usually providing the ‘auval’ utility that Logic uses)

I tried selecting/de-selecting in AUmanager, and even a re-install a couple of times to no avail until they all of the sudden validated.
No issues here, testing Major Tom, and Bombardier.
These are my next purchases after my next gig…
Then CMX, Transient Monster, SCHOPE… 
The most underrated plugins on the market IMO.
