Can you make non-SSE2 version of Bitter?

As other effects have non-SSE2 versions, is there any possibility that you (the author) would do it also for Bitter?

The code for Bitter is designed around being the processing loops being unrolled and vectorized for SSE2. The plugin relies on SSE2 because it looks at every bit of every sample. I’m afraid a non-SSE2 build of Bitter would be a CPU killer.
