Oversample?

Hello everybody, I’m a real fan of this plugin but I’m not a pro. I just have a silly question: What’s the purpose of “oversample”? I mean, what is that means?

Thanx,
Juan

By engaging the over-sample switch, you are increasing the internal resolution (quality) of the digital processor (1973 in this case), independantly of the resolution of your workstation (eg sequoia runing 44.1khz-16bit). Subjectively speaking, when engaged, the processor will sound better and more ‘analogue’, in terms of resolution at least. If processing power is not an issue, and fidelity is the main objective (which I would think it is, as this is a Nevey’ EQ) then it would probably be adviseable to engage it. The end result will be cleaner, and more detail will be retained in the audio. I hope this is helpful mate…
