Apple Silicon versions

Hi,
Well, i guess we’ll never see Apple Silicon versions of stillwell plugins ?
Intel version are working fine as Audio Unit thanks to apple bridge, it’s true…but i’d like to use VST3 version …it’s very useful when you want to work with someone on windows…and i’m not using the bridge anymore, it doesn’t work very well for some plugins…
What a pity, vibe EQ and 1973 are gems…i’d like to use them again…
I don’t know if you’re still planning to update them to new standards ??
Thanks

While they aren’t formally up on the website as main product downloads, you can visit our support site for latest links to version 3.x betas (which are not Apple Silicon, but do have bug fixes) and version 4.x previews of everything we’ve more or less got ready at this point. They won’t show up in that FAQ article unless they’re basically Release Candidate status. 1973 is one of the ones currently available, so you’re in luck, I guess?

Go to https://support.stillwellaudio.com/ and choose Knowledgebase and then the Installation category. You’ll find the two articles there.

Thanks a lot, 1973 is working great and the new GUI is beautiful…it’s good to have it back…now Vibe EQ would be the last plugin to finish my apple silicon transition
keep up the good work

This is very good news indeed! Will be grabbing 1973 and Event Horizon today to try out! Both have been go-to plugins for me in past projects. I still think 1973 has the best sounding 12k boost that I’ve ever used. And I have always loved the feel and vibe and sound of Event Horizon for transients. Looking forward to more updates!

Just wanted to follow on my last post. I’m loving the updated GUIs of 1973 and Event Horizon! And of course they both sound great and are working great in LP11 so far. Thanks for keeping all of your plugins alive!

Just wanted to say congrats on the official v4 plugin releases! As I’ve said many times to many people, 1973 has the best 12k boost of any Neve 1073 emulation I’ve ever used (and that is a very long list of plugins). I am so happy that these plugins are being supported and updated. Also Event Horizon is still so crazy good sounding. Thank you Scott for all the hard work you do!

Looking forward to the M1 Silicon support for Verbiage, unless that’s already a thing?

It’s such a unique reverb. I was not able to recreate it with competitor plugins!

It’s not a thing yet…but it will be as soon as I can crank them out. :+1: There’s a fair amount of work per-plugin to get them uplifted to the new framework and libraries…but there was even MORE work getting the framework and libraries correct to begin with. That’s what’s been the major delay (I wasn’t PLANNING on taking years to get Apple Silicon support, that’s for sure…)

Thank you, Scott! I’m looking forward to it and wish you best of luck in the process! I can imagine the pipeline piling up, coming from a programming background myself.

I found out about Stillwell through Adam Nolly GetGood’s work. I’m using Verbiage on a 2019 Mac and would love to take it on the road with me on my Silicon Macbook as well!

Cheers!
